Our goal is to be a user friendly and developer friendly as possible. We think that by being good to flash game developers and giving them lots of options and abilities on site they will add more games and be more likely to listen to the regular users that play them. Also by being good to the regular users they will be more active in playing the developers games and hopefully more respectful by giving helpful feedback to the developers so they can use that feedback to make their current and/or future flash games better and continue submitting them to our arcade for you to play.

About Flash Games

Flash games are made from a software known as Flash. It was originally made my Macromedia until they were bought out by Adobe, makers of such famous software as Photoshop. When Flash came out people didn't think it would be all that much of a hit. Then a very big company redid their website in Flash and it looked so good and high-tech lots of other companies began incorporating Flash into their websites.

Flash was not only used for making websites or making parts of websites look more professional. It was also used to make animated stories or cartoons for entertainment. But the biggest and probably the most popular way it is used is to make Flash games. Flash Games are made using most of Flashes abilities. To make a game you need graphics. You can easily make them inside of Flash and all graphics made in Flash are vector. Vector means they won't get all messed up no matter how you resize them. Then flash games need animations and movements of the different graphics and sounds to go with them. Flash makes animating things very simple and to add sounds you just load them from your computer and tell them when in the animation to start. The most important thing in making a flash game is Action Script. Action Script is the programming language that flash developers use to make the animations interactive with different events within the animation and by the person playing the game.

Flash based games have come a long way since the 90s. Graphics are better, game play is more fun, they take longer to beat, etc. And so many new games are being released every single day. There are so many flash based game genres such as, action, arcade, adventure, RPG, puzzle, multiplayer, strategy, defense, tower defense, sports, dress up and so many more. These games are becoming more and more popular and some are actually a lot more fun than some of the downloadable PC games. Many of games are parodies made by fans of popular PC and console Mario and Sonic games.
